This girl decided to rock a stunning rainbow-colored outfit to Burning Man. Animal print is a must-have at Burning Man. This girl spent months searching for the perfect costume and all of her hard work paid off in the end! She started by finding the leopard skin boots on sale at Macy’s. Next, she used eBay to find the swimsuit. For the cape and glove accessories, she fashioned them by hand. Now all that was left was some beautiful gold and silver jewelry, which she found at a local thrift shop.

This girl knew she would be doing a lot of bike-riding in the desert this year, but she didn’t want her bike helmet to cramp her style. So, she decided to incorporate her helmet into her colorful costume by adding a line of flowers that split her helmet down the middle, appearing as some sort of fun mohawk. She even brought along goggles to protect her eyes from dust. Now she is staying safe on her bike, and looking great while doing so!

Recognize these two? The girl on the right is Paris Hilton, and the girl on the left is British model Cara Delevingne. That’s right- even celebrities can’t resist the appeal and intrigue of Burning Man. In this photo we see both girls wearing gladiator-themed outfits. Here’s a guy we all want to be friends with. This clever Burning Man participant needed to prepare his outfit weeks in advance. First, he needed to make a shirt with his picture on it. Then, he needed to take a picture of himself wearing the shirt with his own picture on it and print that onto a shirt. Then he needed to take another picture of himself wearing that shirt, and print that onto a shirt. By now, we think you get the idea.

Sometimes, a simple Burning Man outfit can also be the best Burning Man outfit. This girl demonstrates this by wearing a beautiful pink dress with a matching vintage hat. Her white boots and old-school sleeves also fit her look perfectly! Just look how happy she is as she spreads her arms wide and soaks in the magical Burning Man atmosphere. The Burning Man festival can be an awesome solo experience, but it can be an even better experience when you share it with friends! The group in this photo has been best friends since childhood. Unfortunately, two of them are moving to a new city soon, so they figured the best way to celebrate their friendship and have one last adventure together was to get spiritual in the desert and head to Burning Man wearing matching animal print costumes!

This woman’s costume is all over the place. It looks like she went to a thrift shop and bought as much as she could in as little time as possible. Up top, she’s rocking an old-school Viking’s helmet with some vintage sunglasses from the 1980s. She’s also wearing a bright red graduation gown and some strange goggles around her neck. Even though her outfit might not be as well-coordinated as some of the other festival-goers on our list, it’s clear she’s having a good time.

This has got to be one of the most random costumes ever worn at Burning Man. First of all, this gentleman is wearing a kilt, and we’re pretty sure he’s not Scottish. In addition, he’s wearing what appears to be some kind of military jacket from the civil war. To make things even more unpredictable, he’s rocking a coonskin cap with two horns on his head. To top in all off, he’s riding a Segway through the desert.

Burning Man has been an annual tradition for these two best friends for over six years now. Ever since they graduated high school, they’ve been coming to the desert to let go of their worries and to abandon the consumer-driven economy of the outside world. While they usually decide to wear matching costumes for Burning Man, this year each girl decided to do her own thing and wear what she wanted, without feeling constrained by the guidelines of a group outfit.

We have no clue what kind of costume this couple was going for, but they sure look adorable! It appears as though they might be wearing a fake slice of bread on their heads. Perhaps they were attempting a “peanut butter and jelly” theme for their outfits. But for whatever reason, they’re also wearing a pair of kitty-cat ears, which only leads us to conclude that this partner Burning Man costume is as random as they come.

These girls decided to wear an outfit with a practical purpose to Burning Man. The girl on the left is rocking a pink fanny-pack to match her shirt. When it comes to festivals and concerts, a fanny-pack is a much more comfortable and less-bulky option than a backpack. The girl on the right is wearing some kind of tool belt. This looks like the ideal place to keep essential Burning Man-specific items such as sunscreen, water bottles, and chewing gum.

When this girl needed inspiration for her Burning Man costume, she looked no further than Black Swan. To match her black dress, she put together a headdress using fake bird feathers. During her first day at the festival, she acquired a pair of futuristic goggles and a unique piece of forehead jewelry. Hopeful she doesn’t get too hot with all that black!

Rocking a custom-made furry vest and a sleek pair of black Mad Max-inspired goggles, this Burning Man guest came prepared for any element mother nature could throw her way. Her vest is the perfect combination of comfortable and trendy. It keeps her warm in the cold desert nights, while at the same time giving her some air while the sun is out. Not to mention its the centerpiece for her incredible desert apocalypse-themed costume, and compliments her blue hair extensions wonderfully.

Part of the fun of Burning Man is letting your creativity run free when getting a costume ready. The imagination of the Burning Man attendee is the only thing that limits the outcome. This participant wanted to channel a dragon and a demon to create their own unique look. What really makes this look is the gold paint. Although, it will probably be gone as soon as he gets into the music and dances the night away. Hopefully, he doesn’t poke any eyes out with his wings.

Some participants of Burning Man try to look amazing while getting a message across. That may be what this Cruella de Vil looking gentleman is doing. Pulling this look together with a tie makes this an outfit that can easily go from day to night. Although, he should have probably matched it a bit better so it went with the rest of his fur. The only major question to ask is, how he is going to stay hydrated?

One of the cool things about Burning Man is that it is enjoyed by all ages, from young to more mature. This gentleman’s salt and pepper beard plays well with his very tribal headdress and steampunk goggles. Perhaps not the combination most would think of, he then added some very medieval-looking gauntlets. He is clearly not afraid to sweat. Though with this fancy getup, his hands and noggin are going to be all that really sweats.

This crew took their hat game to all-new levels. We’re not sure why they chose to ride around in a rubber ducky, but it could be a good getaway vehicle and they are all fairly incognito, too. Other than the hats, though, this crew is very tame and may stick out a bit against some of the other more elaborate Burning Man attendees. That’s okay, right? It’s more about the experience and the music, right?

Steampunk is one of the biggest cosplay genres out there, so it shouldn’t shock anyone that some take it to Burning Man. Most of the time, however, the cosplayers don’t have as many clothes on as this person. Honestly, this is going to be hot! Plus, that carriage is a bit scary and a little crazy to bring with them. How are they going to get it through all the crowds?

There are a lot of groups of attendees that theme their costumes and then set up their site to reflect their theme. This cavalcade of party-goers looks like they are some sort of Victorian fashion meets Alice in Wonderland. They clearly are feeling themselves, and that’s okay. After all, it’s Burning Man! It’s all about creativity, expression, and some awesome music, and that is what this group is ready for.

Burning Man has been held in the Nevada Desert for years. That, coupled with Nevada’s famous secret military base, makes it no wonder that the aliens decide to check out the party. This attendee thought that they would do an art installation that paid homage to the festival’s host. They get dressed up as their interpretation of what our little green visitors from beyond the skies may look like. They will fit right in with the rest of the unique alien looks that dance and party through the desert every year.
