Anthropologie has recently launched its new curve collection and, as with all of their clothing, it truly is top notch. The line includes size 16W through 26W and is the most inclusive line from the brand yet. The line is called APlus by Anthropologie and it has some of the hottest Spring trends and colors. There are pieces with bright colors, fun florals, and soft, seasonal textures perfect for the warm weather.

Fashion as a whole is becoming more and more inclusive for people of all styles and sizes, and Anthropologie is just the latest to hop on board. After all, what do they have to lose by also catering to a curvier clientele? Anthropologie has been a popular clothing brand for a long time and this will only make them more popular with a new crowd of women.

In March, the line launched online and in 10 Anthropologie stores across the United States and Canada, and with success, will hopefully be available in many more branches in the near future.

Unlike some plus size clothing lines, which are made differently than a brand’s “normal” sized clothing, Anthropologie promises to keep its same cool and classy vibes and feature the same styles, fabrics, and creative flare as the rest of their clothing. Also unlike many other plus size lines, rather than starting with a few pieces and slowly rolling out, the line premiered with 120 styles! These pieces include casual and fancier dresses, skirts, pants, jackets, tops, and more.

Prices start at just $48 and don’t go above $260 – keeping in line with most Anthropologie clothing. While some brands may have the philosophy that bigger women should have to pay more because their clothing uses more material, this clearly isn’t the case here.

While we know by now that we can alter tops and sweaters into whatever our hearts desire, this next upcycle was still pleasantly surprising to us, as the designer behind this creation used her sweater material to construct her mini skirt.

She strategically used shoe-lace to make a fashionable slit on the side that compensated for the sweater not properly fitting around her body. How genius? We are awarding her with a medal in upcycled fashion.

While a little black dress is always a good idea, sometimes it can be a struggle trying to make it work from day to night. We can try adding a jean jacket or blazer but that doesn’t really make it more day-appropriate.

This woman thought this issue through and simply added a pull-over sweater as the solution. Now, her little black dress looks like a pencil skirt under her sweater and if she wants a night-look, she can just remove the pull-over. Simple yet smart!

Sometimes your go-to jeans don’t require any alterations but just a simple styling revamp to leave you with a fresh new look. For example, by pairing your jeans with a turtleneck like pictured here, the outfit appears comfy but quite dull and lifeless.

Whereas, in the second picture, merely replacing the turtleneck with a flowing blouse dress, creates a more flowy and relaxed look. We are totally feeling the difference here.

When looking at the original rose-patterned granny dress that this woman decided to alter, we strongly believed that no matter the alteration, nothing was going to change that ugly pattern. However, we were wrong.

This outdated and oversized baby pink shirt at first glance looked like a hand-me-down that was worthy of a trash throw. However, after seeing this drastic transformation, we are once again blown away.

The once frumpy shirt is now a work-suitable blouse and we are loving the big bow detailing. Huge congratulations to the visionary female that undertook this project. While we have no doubts it came with challenges, this new chic shirt is another level of stylish.

The original dress prior to its upcycling was a pretty simple tent dress. While the lace detailing looked nice, the fit was not flattering. The dress’s owner thought this through and transformed it into the cutest long-sleeve blouse that appears to be very flattering.

Due to the natural flow of the design, she chose to shorten the length of the item so that it could be paired with a high-waisted bottom. She might be a natural-born designer because her new blouse deserves to be mass-produced.

While the polka-dot formal shirt is perfectly fine, it’s most definitely not flattering. In order to achieve that, the shirt required some DIY care, which is exactly what this woman gave to it. She decided to cut off the sleeves and shorten the shirt’s length, and in doing so, she created a new and improved blouse.

Not only is her new item work-appropriate but it would also pair well for other formal events. How’s that for a versatile upcycle?
