The World’s First Online Catwalk Show Was a Huge Hit

Although we would love to say that fashion is never-ending and immune to everything else going on across the globe, that just isn’t the case. Like almost every other industry that this world has to offer, fashion has been struck by the devastation of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Going Virtual

In light of everything going on in the world at the moment, it seems as though many industries are taking their business online. The latest addition to this virtual world has been the Fashion Unites catwalk show, which took place on May 1st, 2020.

An Online Catwalk Show

The Fashion Unites catwalk show was the brainchild of Carine Roitfeld, the former editor of French Vogue, and her son — Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld — who just so happens to be the CEO of CR Fashion Book Ltd. This family unit joined forces to approach some of the biggest supermodels and fashion icons in the world and asked them if they would take part in the online catwalk show. The end result saw the likes of Karlie Kloss, Stella Maxwell, Winnie Harlow, Kim Kardashian West, and Joan Smalls strut their stuff in their own homes. What’s even more amazing about this event is the fact that it was created to raise money for the amfAR Fund to Fight Covid-19. It’s not known yet how much was raised, but we have a feeling that it must have been a lot.

Even in their own homes, these models look absolutely flawless.
