Many people feel that the start of a new year is the perfect time to try a new look. That’s exactly what these stars seemed to be thinking when they chose to chop their hair off into bob haircuts at the start of 2024. Will the bob be the hairstyle of 2024? It’s sure looking that way, so far! Keep reading to see the evidence.

New Year, New Hair

Rita Ora has a new bob haircut, thanks to her stylist Dimitris Giannetos. The stylist called the singer’s new hair color “hazelnut latte,” and it adds an extra layer of chic to the look. Emily Ratajkowski debuted her new bob at Hourglass Cosmetics’ lipstick launch in Manhattan on February 9th. Penélope Cruz also got in on the new hairstyle, debuting a longer bob that almost reaches her shoulders. Style queen Rihanna showed up in Paris with a bob haircut and newly platinum blonde hair. Jennifer Lopez sported a wet hair look, complete with a bob haircut, at Paris Haute Couture Week.

It Seems Like Everyone’s Getting This Haircut

Even more stars joined in on the bob trend. Jennifer Aniston, who started an entire haircut movement in the ‘90s, wore a long bob at the 2024 Golden Globes. Ayo Edebiri, of The Bear fame, also wore a bob to the 2024 Golden Globes. Selena Gomez also started 2024 off with a bob haircut. But, honestly, it’s styled so similarly to her longer haircut that we didn’t really notice. On the other hand, Eva Longoria’s Mick Jagger-inspired bob makes her look completely different. Lastly, Julianne Hough has joined in on the trend, and it looks great on her!
