Nowadays, it seems as though every celebrity on the block has their own beauty line. Kylie Jenner has Kylie Cosmetics, Rihanna has Fenty Beauty, and even Millie Bobby Brown has just released her Florence beauty line. It seems as though this trend won’t be going away anytime soon, as Selena Gomez has just announced the news that she is the next star-studded celeb to enter into the realm of beauty.

A Stylish Celeb
While her music career may have been a little quiet lately, it seems as though Selena Gomez may have been working on something else during this little break. This singer is often regarded as one of the most stylish celebs in the business, and her fashion sense and her makeup have taken her fans by storm. In July 2019, Selena filed a patent to trademark her very own beauty line, so it seems as though she may now be ready to share her secrets.

Various Products
What’s exciting about this patent is that it seems to include a whole variety of products. These include cosmetics, fragrances, soaps, hair care products, essential oils, and so much more. These products were filed under patent that featured her own name as its namesake, and it seems as though the singer has been working non-stop to create a line that will inspire those across the world.

Not The First Time
Of course, this isn’t the first time that Selena has made her foray into the beauty world. In 2011, Gomez released her very first fragrance which proved to be extremely popular. Now, it seems as though she wants to expand on this success with a legitimate brand devoted to all of her best beauty ideas.
Although not much is known about this new brand right now, we’re already pretty excited.
40+ Oscar Couples Who Have Ruled the Red Carpet
As we approach the 93rd Academy Awards, it’s time to take a look back at the celebrity couples who have ruled the red carpet over the years. From dazzling dresses to trendy tuxedos, from glamorous gowns to well-shined shoes, this is the event that brings out Hollywood’s finest.
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson
Just last year, actress Rita Wilson demonstrated a long held Academy Awards fashion secret – when in doubt, dress like a statuette. The star wore a full length rose gold dress which kicked out into full on fringe towards the bottom. The flapper style dress looked gorgeous on Wilson, who attended the ceremony with A list husband Tom Hanks.

Looking chic as ever in a black tuxedo, Hanks was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.
Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams
Well isn’t this a throwback? This snap is from Michelle Williams’ first ever Oscars ceremony, which she attended with then boyfriend Heath Ledger. The couple met and fell in love while filming Brokeback Mountain, and were both nominated for their performances in the movie.

For the 2006 ceremony, Michelle Williams wore a stunning canary yellow Vera Wang gown. Heath Ledger opted for the traditional Hollywood hunk uniform – a black tuxedo. Just a year prior to this, Williams gave birth to the couple’s daughter.
Lucy Boynton and Rami Malek
British American actress Lucy Boynton has been dating her Bohemian Rhapsody co-star, Rami Malek, since 2018. As you can see, the pair graced the Academy Awards red carpet in 2019 looking rather sophisticated. Boynton wore a stunning deep purple dress with black accents and Cartier jewels, and Malek wore an Yves Saint Laurent black suit.

Rami Malek ended up taking home the Academy Award for Best Actor at this ceremony, and in his speech said, “Lucy Boynton, you’re the heart of this film.”
Drew Barrymore and Edward Norton
Back in 1996, Drew Barrymore and Edward Norton starred together in Woody Allen movie Everyone Says I Love You. It seems that the pair might have briefly dated afterwards, particularly because they attended the 1999 Academy Awards together. However, Edward Norton is notoriously private about his personal life.

This year, Norton was nominated for Best Actor for his starring role in American History X. The laid back 90s couple opted for simple black red carpet looks, with a touch of gold for Barrymore.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck
Before there was Brangelina or Kimye, the celebrity power couple du jour was Bennifer – Ben Affleck, and Jennifer Lopez. The couple met while filming ill-fated comedy movie Gigli and quickly became a tabloid staple. People couldn’t enough of the popstar diva and the laid-back golden boy of Hollywood.

For the 2003 Academy Awards, Jen and Ben hit the red carpet in true noughties style. Lopez wore a mint green sari-style Valentino gown, while Affleck opted for a well-tailored suit.
Grace Kelly and Clark Gable
Let’s go back in time a little to the 26th Academy Awards which took place in 1954. Back then, the so-called King of Hollywood, Clark Gable had starred in a raft of movies starting in the 1920s. By the mid ‘50s, Gable had returned from fighting in World War II and had starred in a string of successful movies.

In 1953, Gable starred alongside newcomer Grace Kelly in romantic adventure flick Mogambo. The pair attended the Oscars together looking like the old Hollywood royalty they are.
Janet Jackson and Rene Elizondo
Alas we have another fashion diversion here as we race back to the 1990s. Here we have the unmistakable Janet Jackson attending the 1994 Academy Awards with then husband René Elizondo. Jackson met her ex-spouse while he was a backup dancer for her older sister, and the pair were married from 1991-2000.

What can we say about this 90s get up? From the round sunglasses to the white button ups, to the beige baseball caps – this is very much a look of the times.
Julia Roberts and Kiefer Sutherland
From one somewhat questionable 90s look to another, here we have a rather blond Julia Roberts. This picture was taken at the 1991 Academy Awards, where Roberts attended alongside then fiancé, Kiefer Sutherland. This forgotten celebrity couple met while filming Flatliners, but called their wedding off just days before the ceremony.

For some reason, the couple wore their hair in almost matching blond bouffants, and almost matching navy blazers. The thing is, with that smile, Julia Roberts is always a red carpet stunner.
Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman
It’s time for another gorgeous vintage snap of a throwback Oscars couple. Here we have Joanna Woodward, who took home the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1958 for her performance in The Three Faces of Eve. Interestingly, Woodward is the oldest living Best Actress Oscar winner.

Joanna Woodward is pictured here with her husband – actor and director Paul Newman. This Hollywood couple were married for 50 years, and look super sweet together in this retro photograph.
Pharrell Williams and Helen Lasichanh
Entertainer, producer and fashion designer Pharrell Williams isn’t shy when it comes to his personal style. After all, remember the comically oversized hat he wore to the 2014 Grammys? Well, as you can see here, Williams wore a camouflage short suit to the 2019 Academy Awards, along with a white shirt and jewelled necklace.

The other half of this well-dressed couple is Williams’ wife, model and designer Helen Lasichanh. For the 2019 ceremony, Lasichanh wore a black ruffled minidress with a pearl clutch.
Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise
It’s slightly difficult for us to look at Nicole Kidman’s hair in this picture, but we have to remember that this was the early 1990s. Here we have a major ex-celebrity couple in Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise at the 1991 Academy Awards. At this time, Cruise and Kidman were married, but had not yet had their children.

Looking super loved up here, the Hollywood stars went for a simple but chic red carpet look. Nicole’s scoop neck dress had black embellishments and fringing.
Eddie Fisher and Elizabeth Taylor
Here’s another vintage snap from the Oscars of days gone by. This is actress Elizabeth Taylor and her fourth husband, singer Eddie Fisher. The couple tied the knot in 1959 in a whirl of controversy. Fisher was friends with Taylor’s third husband who had just tragically passed away. Plus, he was married to Debbie Reynolds when he started seeing Taylor.

At the 1961 Academy Awards ceremony, Liz took home the Oscar for Best Actress. We particularly like her lemon dress and white, elbow length gloves.
Winona Ryder and Christian Slater
And now for some moody red carpet style. Here we have Heathers co-stars Winona Ryder and Christian Slater attending the 61st Annual Academy Awards in 1989. At this stage, Ryder was still a teenager, and about to embark on a three year relationship with Johnny Depp. Whilst Ryder and Slater weren’t dating, they sure make a cute couple.

Here, Winona wears a chic black velvet camisole style dress that would have been at the height of style in 1989.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Gisele Bündchen
Leonardo DiCaprio has taken quite a few women to quite a few awards ceremonies. However, when he and Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen attended the 77th Annual Academy Awards in 2005, they turned quite a few heads.

This stunning couple dated between 2000 to 2005, and made People’s list of Most Beautiful Couples. Well, duh! For the ceremony, Bündchen wore a white strapless Dior gown, and her hair in tumbling blonde curls. Meanwhile, Leo stuck with the men’s staple of a sharp tuxedo.
Chelsea Peretti and Jordan Peele
At the 2018 Academy Awards, actor and filmmaker Jordan Peele was nominated for three Oscars for his directorial debut Get Out. As tribute to his hugely successful movie, the director wore a bloody antler pin on the lapel of his white tuxedo jacket. We love it!

Peele’s wife, Brooklyn 99’s much loved Chelsea Peretti joined him on the red carpet wearing some red carpet herself. Just kidding! We love Peretti’s draped, burgundy number, and the Hollywood curls she’s worn to match.
Anne Heche and Ellen DeGeneres
Before there was Ellen and Portia, there was Ellen and Anne. No, it doesn’t have quite the same ring to it, but not everyone can be Portia De Rossi. This pair wore an extremely 90s set of outfits to the 1999 Academy Awards, and honestly, we’re obsessed.

Actress Anne Heche and comedian Ellen DeGeneres had a high profile relationship between 1997-2000. We absolutely love their matching dark sunglasses and white ensembles. And check out that purse!
Julius Tennon and Viola Davis
Actress Viola Davis is the most nominated Black actress in the history of the Academy Awards. On top of that, she looks pretty great in an evening gown. In this snap, the How to Get Away with Murder star is joined on the red carpet by her husband, actor Julius Tennon.

For the 2018 ceremony, Viola Davis wore this baby pink Michael Kors number with a matching clutch. We love that Davis often wears bright jewel colors, and that she wore her hair in natural curls.
Angela Bassett & Courtney B. Vance
From one stunner in pink to another, here’s actress and director Angela Bassett in a voluminous hot pink number. This shot is from the 2020 Academy Awards red carpet, and shows Bassett with her husband, actor Courtney B. Vance.

This over the top dress is by Reem Acra and has an oversized shoulder bow, a mermaid fit and a mid-thigh split. That’s a lot of dress! For his part, Courtney B. Vance looks stylish in a white suit jacket and bowtie.
Julia Roberts and Benjamin Bratt
We’ve seen Julia Roberts with a Kiefer Sutherland style blond bouffant, but here she is several years later on the Oscars red carpet again. This time, in 2001, Roberts took home the Best Actress trophy for her role in Erin Brockovich. And doesn’t she look sweet?

Here, Roberts is alongside then boyfriend, actor Benjamin Bratt, who looks handsome as ever. The star’s dress was vintage Valentino, and still lives in a box underneath her bed! She has since revealed that she’s keeping the dress for her daughter, Hazel.
Benjamin Millepied and Natalie Portman
Actress Natalie Portman is no stranger to the Academy Awards. The Black Swan star attended the 2020 ceremony with her husband, dancer Benjamin Millepied. Interestingly, in 2020 Natalie Portman decided to make a statement, and she used her custom Dior cape to do so.

Portman’s amazing gold and black dress cape combo had the names of eight female directors embroidered on one side. This was a stand against the fact that only men were nominated in the directing category that year. Shame!
Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves
Brazilian-American model Camila Alves married actor Matthew McConaughey back in 2006. When the couple attended the 2014 Academy Awards together, heads turned to enjoy the striking model draped in elegant blush. Alves wore a floor length, blush pink Gabriela Cadena number with dewy makeup and a matching clutch.

Nominated for Best Actor at the ceremony that year, Matthew McConaughey wore a cream blazer over a black waistcoat and tie. To be honest, we’re not so sure about that decision.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend always make a cute couple, no matter how they’re dressed. However, at the 2017 Academy Awards, they looked particularly fabulous. For the event, model and TV personality Teigen wore a white beaded Zuhair Murad gown with a thigh high split.

Notably, Chrissy Teigen has a bit of a thing for gowns with high leg splits. And really, who can blame her? Singer songwriter John Legend opted for a well-fitting classic black tux. Lookin’ good!
Sonny Bono and Cher
It would be wrong to have a list of red carpet celebrity couples and not mention the inimitable Sonny and Cher. In 1973, Sonny and Cher were TV staples, and the future Goddess of Pop had a successful solo career. For the Academy Awards, the star wore a yellow, belly baring two piece covered with embellishments. With her long black hair, the star looked like a fantasy genie.

Not forgetting it was the ‘70s, Sonny Bono paired his black suit with an embroidered white shirt.
Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake
Remember what Rita Wilson taught us in the very first entry on this list? When in doubt, dress like a statuette! Well, here actress Jessica Biel is illustrating that important style principle to us. For the 2017 Oscars, Biel wore a sequined gold KaufmanFranco gown with an elaborate feather like Tiffany necklace.

Not one to be outdone, husband Justin Timberlake stood alongside his wife in a sharp black tuxedo. That year, Timberlake was nominated for an award for his song “Can’t Stop The Feeling.”
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos
Kelly Ripa doesn’t disappoint when it comes to red carpets. The pint sized star can often be seen posing in an oversized gown, like this one she wore to the 2019 Academy Awards. In this charming picture, Ripa and longtime husband and one time co-star Mark Consuelos, pose on the Oscars red carpet.

For the occasion, Ripa wore a voluminous metallic Christian Siriano gown, which is enthusiastically showed off for the cameras. In the classic male celeb uniform, Consuelos looked sharp in a suit.
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez
Sadly, we now know that J.Lo and A.Rod didn’t make it as a couple, but wasn’t it good while it lasted? Here’s the pair looking radiant at the 2019 Academy Awards. For this ceremony, Lopez is illustrating the ‘dress like a statuette’ principle.

Both Lopez and Rodriguez wore Tom Ford for the occasion – the former a metallic long sleeved gown, and the latter an ivory suit jacket. We’re sad to see the back of them, but we’ll see them on the red carpet again.
Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe
Back in 2002, Reese Witherspoon had been married to actor Ryan Phillipe for several years, and presented an award with him at the Academy Awards. When Witherspoon asked her husband to announce the winner, he responded with, “You make more than I do, go ahead.”

Indeed, the very talented Witherspoon is one of the highest paid actresses in the world. She wore this cute black number to the 2002 Academy Awards, and divorced Ryan Phillippe in 2006. Good riddance!
Drew Barrymore and Corey Feldman
We’ve seen actress Drew Barrymore on the Oscars red carpet with Edward Norton, and here she is looking rather mischievous with actor Corey Feldman. Both stars starting working as children, and both struggled publicly with addiction issues. We’re not so sure this date was a great idea.

For the 61st Annual Academy Awards in 1989, both Barrymore and Feldman looked full on eighties. There’s a side ponytail, a corsage, sunglasses, and a Michael Jackson adorned suit with a red shirt. Flash!
Gina Rodriguez and Joe LoCicero
Actress Gina Rodriguez looked absolutely radiant when she stepped onto the Oscars red carpet with husband Joe LoCicero in 2018. The Annihilation star wore a neutral toned plunge neck Zuhair Murad gown covered with metallic embellishments, and her hair tied back in a ponytail.

Making a departure from most of the other Hollywood men we’ve seen so far, model, actor and MMA fighter LoCicero wore a dapper navy suit. The couple met when LoCicero guest starred on Jane the Virgin.
Meryl Streep and Don Gummer
She’s acting royalty, so it only makes sense to include the wonderful Meryl Streep and her husband Don Gummer on our list. Here’s a sweet snap of the couple at the Oscars back in 1979, just one year after their wedding. At this poin, Streep had already won an Emmy award for her television work, and she walked away from this ceremony with the Academy Award for Best Actress. Go Meryl!

In terms of style, a youthful Streep wore a dress with a sheer lace panel.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z
When it comes to fashion, music, and most other things, Beyoncé Knowles hits it out of the park every single time. In 2005, the entertainer attended the Academy Awards with husband, rapper Jay-Z.

Compared with some of her other looks, this is a relatively pared back look for Queen Bey. The singer wore a black velvet Atelier Versace gown along with dramatic drop earrings, a matching bracelet, and a chic low ponytail. For his part, Hova is looking pretty sharp in a black tux.
Oprah Winfrey and Stedman Graham
Oprah Winfrey has had a tumultuous love life at times, but she’s been with partner Stedman Graham since 1986. The couple never tied the knot, but they look pretty loved up to us. For the 2015 Academy Awards, the media mogul wore a blush, floor length Vera Wang gown with bouncy curls. We think it does wonders for her.

At that year’s ceremony, Oprah had starred in and produced civil rights movie Selma, which won the Oscar for Best Original Song.
Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall
Considered one of the best male stars of classic cinema, Humphrey Bogart was first nominated for an Oscar for 1942’s Casablanca. The actor met actress Lauren Bacall when she was just 19 years old, and the pair fell in love while filming 1944’s To Have and Have Not. However, Bogart was married, so he filed for divorce and married Bacall.

In this picture, the dashing pair attend the 1952 Academy Awards, where Bogart won the award for Best Actor.
Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith
This long time celebrity couple have been together since the early 90s, and they tied the knot in 1997, the year this picture was taken. For the 1997 Academy Awards, Jada and Will decided to wear matching lime green, which was certainly a choice.

Jada Pinkett Smith wore a sparkly green Versace two piece, complete with a low midriff belly chain. Because why not? Will stepped up to the plate in his wide collared matching satin shirt. The 90s were a wild time.
Taylor Kinney and Lady Gaga
As we know, Lady Gaga can be a little unpredictable when it comes to red carpets. On the one hand, she could look like a classic Hollywood star, as she does here. On the other, she could be head to toe in meat. That’s just Gaga.

For the 2016 Oscars, Lady Gaga walked the red carpet in a white Brandon Maxwell gown. She was joined by Taylor Kinney, who she met while filming the video for “You and I.”
Jack Nicholson and Anjelica Huston
Check out this amazing retro snap of Hollywood A listers Jack Nicholson and Anjelica Huston attending the 1975 Oscars together. At the time, Huston attended the ceremony as Nicholson’s date, but she would go on to win her own Oscar ten years later.

For the ceremony, actress Angelica Huston wore a mermaid style sequined gown with a scale-like pattern. She wore a mother of pearl clutch to accessorize. As for Jack, it was all about the hat and sunglasses.
Behati Prinsloo and Adam Levine
Namibian model Behati Prinsloo married Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine in 2014. One year later, at the 2015 Academy Awards, the pair appeared together looking both fierce and fresh. For the occasion, Prinsloo wore a stunning Armani couture gown with a bustier and a mermaid skirt.

The textural gown was covered in black and red beading, and she accessorized with a back beaded necklace and a low bun. That year, Levine was nominated for an Oscar for his song “Lost Stars.”
Priyanka Chopra & Nick Jonas
Actress and singer Priyanka Chopra married singer and actor Nick Jonas in 2018. One year later, the popular pair strutted down the Academy Awards red carpet looking loved up and fabulous. Former Miss World, Chopra wore a black gown with an embellished tulle skirt and plunging neckline. Meanwhile, Jonas wore a navy suit with a black bowtie.

This snap is actually from the Vanity Fair Oscars after party, which is where Chopra and Jonas first met several years before.
Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet
We’ll admit that we absolutely love this celebrity power couple. Actor Lisa Bonet married actor Jason Momoa in 2017, and together they have two children, as well as daughter Zoe Kravitz. In 2019, the couple attended the Oscars together for the first time, wearing matching blush pink ensembles.

Lisa Bonet wore a pink mesh Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld dress with her statement bohemian jewelry and dreadlocks. Momoa matched his wife in a pink suit, and even a pink scrunchie.
Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere
It’s time for another Oscars fashion flashback! This time it’s actor Richard Gere and his then wife, model Cindy Crawford. The red plunge Versace dress that Crawford wore to the 1991 Academy Awards is so influential that it has its own Wikipedia page. Seriously.

This outing was Crawford and Gere’s first as a couple, and this bright red dress raised the profile of both stars. Sadly, this relationship wasn’t as long-lasting as the impact of the dress. The couple split in 1995.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
Those with a keen memory for fashion history know that Angelina Jolie’s 2012 Oscars dress spawned a million memes. The actress and director wore a black Atelier Versace gown with a thigh high split to the ceremony. Her red carpet pose, with her leg askew resulted in an “Angelina Jolie’s Leg” Twitter account.

Reflecting on the gown, Jolie has revealed that she planned to wear another one, but felt more comfortable in this style. Ever the Hollywood hunk, Brad shines next to his then-wife.
Sarah Paulson & Holland Taylor
Actress Holland Taylor has been dating actress Sarah Paulson since 2015. The couple, who have a 32 year age difference, are regularly seen together at events. For the 2019 Academy Awards, the couple wore gorgeous complementary outfits.

American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson wore a voluminous coral dress with midriff cutouts. Two and a Half Men star Taylor wore a svelte black dress with silver detailing. Personally, we think these two look like absolute queens.
Justin Ervin & Ashley Graham
It’s not too often that we see a star walking the Oscars red carpet in a pair of pants. Technically, model Ashley Graham wore a Zac Posen gown for the actual 2020 Academy Awards red carpet. However, she then slipped out of it into something a little more comfortable for the Vanity Fair after party. Her choice? This figure hugging cream two piece.

Graham is seen here with her husband, Justin Ervin. The pair met in 2009 and tied the knot the following year.
Vivica A. Fox and Dennis Rodman
Take a look at this gem from the Oscars fashion vault. Actress Vivica A. Fox attended the ceremony with former professional basketball player Dennis Rodman. The athlete would go on to marry model Carmen Electra the following year, while Fox would marry singer Christopher “Sixx-Nine” Harvest.

For the 1997 Academy Awards, Fox embraced the 90s slip dress trend and wore head to toe cream. Rodman went for an glam rock style ensemble, complete with purple ruffled sleeves and blue eyeshadow.
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt
We’ve seen Brad and Angelina, but what about Brad and Jen? Let’s not forget that these two were a celebrity power couple long before Angie came on the scene. Way back in 2000, when the couple were still just dating, Brad and Jen attended the Academy Awards together.

With their blond hair and bronzed skin, the couple looked like Barbie and Ken. Jen wore a simple black gown with a plunging neckline, while Brad wore a classic black suit.
