Just like the rest of the world, we here have been following the Royal family like one of their cute little corgies, bringing you the most important news around (subjectively, of course).

So hopefully this is where you hear this first: Meghan Markle has apparently gotten a slight haircut, which she showed off nonchalantly at the service on Remembrance Day Sunday. If you didn’t notice, you’re not alone. According to the internet, this was done secretly and ever-so-slightly, just so that we wouldn’t notice. Sneaky, Meghan!

This didn’t go unnoticed by the more sharp-eyed and observant fans of hers. They say they noticed some layers of hair that seem to have been chopped off slightly. Could it be that this was just a case of wind? Maybe. The camera angle, coupled with the sun hitting the newly-minted Royal with just the right amout of light, could have possibly produced this look. We’ll admit it. But really it seems far more likely she got her hair cut.

Whether or not she got a haircut in the end, Royals like her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, were known to cut their hair in extremely small increments.

“Whatever I did to her hair became front-page news,” her stylist said in an interview with Town & Country. It’s not easy to be part of the Royal family, as their image is constantly under scrutiny. They go to great lengths to hide the smallest changes, hoodwinking us into believing their perfect hair is frozen in time, forever.

On Wednesday night, Prince Charles celebrated his 70th birthday. When asked how it was, he replied, “I’m not sure. It’s rather like indigestion. ‘Many Happy Returns’ are not quite the same as you get older.”

Queen Elizabeth II said her son was a “champion of conversation and the arts” and “a great charitable leader.”

Most of us decide to take on a pet because we want to add more love, cuddles, and furry friendliness to our lives. Those who choose dogs as companions can usually be fairly sure that they are getting a true friend for life who is always looking out for them. However, cat owners know all too well that no matter how much they love their pets, they can never be quite sure that their cats love them back! Here are some pieces of undeniable proof that cats are trying to ruin our lives – in the funniest ways they can.

This adorable feline may look sweet on the outside, but deep in her heart, she is harboring a dark wish to destroy her family’s Christmas cheer. She looks up at the tree, noticing that it has been placed in a spot of honor atop a stool.

Nobody takes the throne in this cat’s house but her and her alone! She quickly remedies the problem by knocking over the tree and positioning herself on the stool instead. Nothing comes before a cat – not even Christmas.

This cat heard “monopoly,” so decided the best course of action would be to monopolize the board. We all have that one fiercely competitive friend who will stop at nothing to buy all the expensive properties on the priciest lots – they’re bad enough.

But then there are friends who plainly decide to take “Free Parking” literally, and park their giant furry bodies smack dab in the middle of the game board. We’ll leave it up to you to judge who is more annoying.

Lots of calamities and injuries caused by cats to their owners are semi-accidental. However, what we seem to be witnessing in this case is a full-on sophisticated plot against one unsuspecting sneaker owner.

This cat spots a red thumbtack and decides there’s a better use for it somewhere else. He then proceeds to remove it and sneak it into the bottom of some unwitting human’s sneaker. This should be the last proof we humans will ever need that cats are out to get us!

It’s common knowledge among cat owners – and, well, everyone – that cats and paper do not mix. And if they do, the results are bound to be messy.

We don’t know if these cats’ owners got the cats before they moved in, or got the paper screen after they were already living there. But we have very little sympathy for them either way, because having two cats in the vicinity of what basically amounts to a wall of paper is clearly an invitation for disaster.

This sneaky Siamese has picked up a weird habit that has turned out to be quite embarrassing for her owner, Sarah.

The cat has amassed a staggeringly large collection of socks and underwear, seemingly all from the same unlucky neighbor, and has been hiding them away in some secret spot for long enough to have collected around 10 pairs of boxer briefs and some 40-odd socks. So next time your socks go mysteriously missing, you might want to investigate any cats in your vicinity.

This is one cat who will not tolerate unnecessary objects taking up his space. In one decisive swipe, he sends that water bottle down to the floor, and he has no regrets about it.

And then there’s this particular animal, who wants to make it abundantly clear to whoever is trying to scratch him, that he’s had quite enough. If that gesture with the paw wasn’t quite clear enough, the cat gives his friend a death glare like we’ve never seen before.

Nothing will stop a cat from getting to the spot he has chosen to give himself a bath in. And if she needs to clear the premises, then so be it.

And if that requires kicking an open bag of crackers down from the shelf so that they spill everywhere… even better. This cat doesn’t care, and judging from the deadpan expression on her face, she dares anyone to do something about it. It’s best not to interfere with a cat’s evil agenda – you’re better off simply taking funny photos from afar instead.

This cat has decided that she would be a chicken for a day and keep the eggs nice and toasty. Of course, this cat lived in a house full of comfortable sofas, chairs, carpets, and cushions to lay on, but this is where she decided to camp out.

Whether she has actually crushed all the eggs she’s sitting on, it’s hard to tell. But one thing’s for sure – if her family was planning on making any omelets for breakfast this morning, they’re fresh out of (c)luck!

When it comes to ruining lives, cats don’t discriminate between the species. Sometimes, they are just as mean to each other as they are to us!

Of course, if we give him the benefit of the doubt, this cat giving his brother a little push down the ladder could very well have been a sweet gesture. But if what we know about cats is anything to go by, it’s way more likely that this cat is simply being a jerk for fun and engaging in a bit of sibling rivalry.

This naughty pet was determined to ruin her owner’s day by completely annihilating whatever was on that paper. If it was homework, though, a child somewhere out there was definitely excited to use the “cat ate my homework” excuse, and be able to back it up with hard evidence.

The best part of this photo, however, is the look on that cat’s face at the moment of being caught doing something sneaky – she totally knows that she’s about to get in big trouble!

This adorable black cat has been observing how much time her owner spends on his phone, and therefore realizes how precious it is to him.

She isn’t too happy about that, but it also works out just perfectly, because now she can make demands while threatening to pull the charging cord, which would probably cause the phone fall and break. Our cat interpreters have deciphered that she’s demanding bi-weekly catnip, a new scratching post, and complete control over the universe.

This cat has decided that his sister’s little party is over and that it’s time to go to bed! We all knew that cats have an extraordinary ability to defy gravity at times, but this incredible leap straight up into the air reaches a whole other level (literally), even for a cat.

We think this cat function has the potential to be very useful for us humans. If only someone could invent a new light control system: cat on, cat off!

The classic rivalry between cats and dogs will live on forever, and it seems that as the two species have evolved, so have their combat skills. This cat, in particular, seems to have been trained by a ninja!

The dog had no idea what was coming for him as the unassuming piled-up blanket on the easy chair suddenly transformed into his worst nightmare. We would have loved to see the rest of the battle sequence as these two duked it out!

These three adorable kitties were probably shut in the bathroom to prevent them from destroying the house, the owners thinking that they couldn’t cause too much damage in there. Well, they appear to have opened the door to find out that they were disastrously wrong.

It looks like they opened the door and interrupted a full-on kitty rave, with the three rascals wreaking total havoc all over the room. Luckily, those sweet little faces saying “who, me?” will probably save them from suffering any re-purr-cussions.

Classic cat behavior. At first, it seems like a sweet moment between two adorable, identical cat twins. One licks the other gently, lulling him into a false sense of safety and peacefulness.

But right at the moment he least expects it, boom! This adorable face-bath becomes a nightmarish face-chewing session. It just goes to show that even when it seems like a cat loves you, you can never fully trust that it’s not all just part of the plan to eat your face off.

After thorough consideration, this cat has concluded that he is absolutely NOT going to let you enjoy this pizza party.

This is one pizza topping that might give you a hairball – or scratch your eyes out if you step one inch closer. He has decided that this fresh, warm pizza is the ultimate place to sit, and he could care less about whether you really wanted that last slice. We advise not messing with this particular, very threatening-looking fellow. It’s just not worth it.

Cats have a funny way of showing their owners who’s boss, and often this involves sabotaging them in any way possible.

This cat is completely determined to let her human know that no matter when or where, she will find him and make it absolutely clear that whatever he happens to be doing comes second to her finding a comfy place to sit. Actually, this doesn’t look comfortable at all – this cat is obviously just being a jerk!

What’s more fun than ruining stuff around the house that is both annoying and expensive to replace? For a cat, the answer is, “Nothing.”

This ginger fiend is having a ball getting tangled up in the blinds, making sure she bends every single slat out of shape in the process. Do you think she cares? Of course not! As far as a cat is concerned, the more damage inflicted, and the more ridiculously they got tangled in something, the more fun they had.

This family were locking horns with each other because everyone was wondering why the butter was disappearing? Why was there an empty box of butter after just a week? It didn’t seem to make any sense.

Then, when the father of the family woke up one evening to get some water, he noticed that the fridge door was open and their cat was licking his way through the latest tub! They organized an intervention quickly and even put a sign on him.

Do you have any idea how long it takes to put these figures together? Well, this guy spent a whole week meticulously building this Doraemon figure, block by block.

Specifically, the figure consisted of a staggering 2,432 pieces, a truly remarkable statistic. It was a matter of minutes before his little kitty came along and knocked it to the ground. Naturally, the builder was extremely upset. But when he picked the little thing up, he couldn’t help but forgive her.

Every cat owner knows how annoying it can be to maintain a cat’s litterbox area. Inevitably, the cat will take some sand with them along the way every time they do their business in their box.

However, we’ve never quite seen this much sand tipped out on the floor by one cat. Come on, felines are supposed to be relatively sophisticated creatures. We’ve heard of a litterbox, but a lot’er’box? After all, that is a lot of sand!

As you have already seen, there have been a couple of funny photos on this list demonstrating one of the classic bits of mischief that cats like to carry out, from time to time.

For some strange reason, they like to sit on their owner’s laptop keyboard. Maybe it’s their way of asking for attention. Or maybe they are just concerned about your wellbeing and want you to stop working. At any rate, this cat decided to do things a little differently.

It’s remarkable just how many unexpected places cats will find to sit on. Their balance is incredible and similar to birds, they even have the ability to sleep while sitting up straight.

While it is a sight to behold from an outsider’s point of view, this guy probably didn’t appreciate it when his cat decided to sit on his face while he was in the middle of his sleep. No time is ideal for this, nevermind 4 am!

We are not entirely sure why this cat decided to jump into a box full of styrofoam balls. Then we realized the obvious reason.

Cats love to jump into boxes – period! It doesn’t matter if it is empty, full of soft materials or even something sharp and dangerous. In some respects, cats can be fearless and when it comes to boxes, they must find out what’s inside. Obviously, this cat didn’t know what he was getting himself into…

It’s truly amazing how despite the fact that cats are an entirely different species, they can really tell from the look on a human’s face that they’re in trouble.

This mischievous cat burglar decided he would have a peek into the drawers and thought he was getting away with stealing an excellent new toy, until he turned around and realized that he would not be getting away with anything. When he slowly backs away from his prize with a hilarious expression, it makes it all worth it.

Imagine it’s a Saturday afternoon, you’ve had a long hard week, and all you want to do is kick back, relax, and unwind on the sofa with your tablet.

If your cat hears that you were trying to enjoy a moment of peace without them around, they will inevitably make sure to ruin it, no matter how adorable they are. This woman’s little furry friend has decided that it’s time for her to put the tablet away and focus on something much, much cuter.

We all have annoying people in our lives who seem to pop up when we least want to see them. If we didn’t have the rules of polite society constraining us, we could take a cue from this grumpy cat and just smack those people right in the face.

The funniest part is that this bird just comes right back after being batted down, annoying as ever. You can practically see the disdain in this poor cat’s expression as he attempts to ignore this irritating creature.

Some cats are simply jerks. This one observed that his mom was working on using a lint roller to remove the cat hair that is all over her clothing, and said to himself “What could I do right now that would be the most possible annoying thing in this scenario?”

And of course, because cats are evil geniuses, he decided to jump on mom’s back and get even more cat hair all over the place that she will have to deal with. Human – 0, Cat-1.

This adorable band of kittens has ganged up to launch a strike of terror on one unsuspecting woman, who is quickly overwhelmed by the sheer number of tiny cats clawing their way up her jeans.

In the case of almost any other creature, this would actually be genuinely terrifying, but luckily for her, these kittens are simply the cutest things in the world. Let’s be honest, we wouldn’t mind being attacked like this every day for the rest of our lives!

Anyone that knows cats will agree that these critters rarely feel remorse. While your dog may jump onto the kitchen counter and steal a few cookies from the jar, you’ll still be met with puppy eyes and licks at the end of it all — as a way of apology, of course.

On the other hand, though, some cats tend to act out of spite. That’s why, even though this kitty-cat clearly did something naughty, it stares back at the camera with the most smitten of looks.
