Aaron Carter Passes Away at the Age of 34

The Tragedy

Aaron Carter was a musician who was famous in his own right but became even more known through his brother, former Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter. As well as being known for his music, Aaron also dabbled in acting. He guest starred in Lizzie McGuire, 7th Heaven, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and various other ’90s/early 2000s productions.

The Tragedy

On November 5th, 2022, 34-year-old Aaron passed away in his home in Lancaster, California. TMZ reported that the singer/actor drowned in his bathtub. However, Carter’s representatives say that the cause of death is still being investigated and there’s no conclusive answer as of yet.

The Tragedy

The latter was confirmed by the Los Angeles police department, who called the incident “suspicious.” Many speculate that Aaron’s passing was related to his known struggles with using illegal substances. However, as previously mentioned, no one knows for sure.

Aaron’s Family

Aaron is survived by his 11-month-old son Prince and his fiancée Melanie Martin. Aaron and Melanie have had a one-again-off-again relationship for several years and were engaged for the second time when Carter passed away. Melanie was granted full custody of Prince in light of Aaron’s difficulties with using illegal substances.

Aaron’s Family

Aaron responded by checking himself into rehab with the hopes that he’d get his son back upon completing the program. He had said, “I haven’t had any relapses or anything like that […] I want my son back.”

Personal Struggles

Unfortunately, Aaron had various personal struggles throughout his life. He had a tumultuous relationship with his family, including his most famous sibling Nick Carter. Nick got a restraining order against Aaron when the latter threatened Nick’s wife’s life.

Personal Struggles

In contrast, Aaron claimed that his famous siblings mistreated him over the years and even threatened his safety — the rest of the Carter clan have said that there’s no truth to these allegations. In 2019, Aaron announced to the public that he had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Carter’s Career

Aaron enjoyed an extremely successful career in Hollywood during the late ’90s and early 2000s. Recently, Carter began to release music again with his last album having been released in 2018. Aaron also ran an OnlyFans account, which he started in 2020.

Carter’s Career

In 2021, Carter was cast in the Las Vegas production Naked Boys Singing but, unfortunately, never got to perform. He was fired from the show due to his unwillingness to get the medical procedures the producers required of him.
